Wholly Cow LogoWholly Cow!  We have so many great volunteers and can’t thank them enough for all their hard work.  Fortunately our friends at Wholly  Cow are helping us to do that with an extremely generous donation of  ice cream coupons for our volunteers!  We are so glad to recognize Wholly Cow Ice Cream as one of our community partners and can’t wait to hand out the coupons at our next volunteer gathering.

With creative flavors ranging from Killa Vanilla to Southern Praline, and from Chocolate Fetish to Rainbow Row Sherbet – and yummy add-ins that are hand-stirred as well as pureed into the base of the ice cream – we hope you’ll consider them the next time you go out for ice cream.  And while you’re there, say thanks for supporting us!

Wholly Cow Ice Cream is a locally-owned business that has been serving the Charleston, SC area with its homemade ice cream for over 27 years.  Each gallon of ice cream is made with the freshest ingredients and without rBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone) or other unnatural additives or preservatives. Their newest scoop shop is located at 159 Church Street, Charleston and not only serves delicious ice cream but also breakfast, lunch and a variety of coffee drinks.  Wholly Cow also has a shop located in the Citadel Mall on Sam Rittenberg Blvd.  Be sure to visit Wholly Cow at one of their two local locations and taste the difference! Edmondston-Alston HouseWe got this very nice testimonial from Virginia Mizel at the famed Edmonston-Alston house. We always knew our volunteers would go down in history!

Thank you for helping us solve our printer problem.

I would like to give a special commendation to your volunteer Alfredo Suarez.

He came to the Edmondston-Alston House on Monday to answer our request for printer repair. Alfredo worked 2 hours before getting the machine to print without adding black lines to the copy. It was a frustrating job, but he never lost patience, was very respectful of the machinery and the museum. We would welcome him back and could highly recommend him to others.

Feedback like this really makes all of us feel good. Thanks!

Just have to blow our own horn… or no, not actually because Daphne from Deta, LLC, has done if for us!

“Working in the nonprofit world as a nonprofit consultant, grant writer and project developer can be challenging at times, especially when it comes to finding the right resources for the right project and connecting the agency with the right people to accomplish a mission. Having said that, these are the challenges that drive those of us in the nonprofit community to do what we do and PATH is no exception. Over the past few months I have had the opportunity to work with Palmetto Technology Hub (PATH) on multiple projects. If you haven’t made the connection with PATH for your nonprofit, then your organization is missing out on a terrific opportunity to work with a most dynamic group of people. You will not be disappointed. Helping nonprofits improve and utilize technology is what PATH is all about. I’m in a unique situation so I get to see the results PATH produces in multiple ways because I’ve put in requests for multiple agencies. This is what I have found…….. Each and every request has been met by professionals who are as committed to the outcomes as I am. Their advice and work ethic is spot on. So if you can’t figure out that new technology gadget, need advice on a website or are looking for direction, you can stop looking. It’s as easy as submitting a ticket online… and the best part for nonprofits is that it is absolutely FREE! Thank you Palmetto Technology Hub for all that you are doing for the nonprofit community”.

Thank you Daphne. The appreciation of people like you really means a lot to us and our volunteers.

“As a two person nonprofit, serving the state of South Carolina it can be challenging accomplishing all the tasks that need to be done, especially those that are technology related.  PATH is an amazing resource.  I can’t say enough good things about this service.

This day and age, technology is critical for non-profits to have a greater impact and touch more lives.  Without PATH, we would not have had the resources or the know how to complete the project we wanted done.   We have even already received feedback from some of the clients we serve complementing PATH’s creation.

We worked with Amanda Albertson.  She was knowledgeable, patient and easy to work with.  I highly recommend others to take advantage of this unique service and look forward to submitting my next project soon!  Thanks again – you guys rock!”

Some of you may have already had contact with Annette Nielsen, who is managing our help desk, and let me just say – “wow”!   In the five whole days she’s been working with us on cases, I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews.  And keep ‘em coming.  Fortunately for us, her ego is in-check!

Wondering who she is?  We’re glad you asked….

“A connaisseur of good coffee and a rabid cinemaphile, this is the latest job incarnation for Annette, who has tried her hand at many occupations: grants staff at Coastal Community Foundation, teacher for Berkeley County School District, conference center director for Mepkin Abbey, pastor for churches all over the world.”

Want to say hello or have any questions about the help desk process? You can reach out to her at Annette |at| Palmettotechnologyhub |dot| org.
