No matter if you are doing your own web design or overseeing the production of that work, no matter if you are using WordPress,
Drupal, or a hand coded site, there are certain best practices that should be followed to get the best results possible. In this training we will cover things such as page flow, hot positions, usability, and accessibility. What we wil discuss will impact both your search engine results, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, what we will be going over can be used for any platform with any web tools.
This session will be taught by Michael Carnell, co-founder of The Palmetto Technology Hub and parter in DesignTechWeb. He provides business automation, web development and PC and Macintosh support services for small businesses and not-for-profits in Charleston and the surrounding South Carolina Lowcountry.
The training will be on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, from 1pm to 2pm at the Main Branch of the Charleston County Library on Calhoun Street, Downtown Charleston in Meeting Room B. Plenty of parking is available on site.
