New Domain Name!

Please note that we have changed to our new domain name – PalmettoTechnologyHub.org. Please updates your bookmarks and other links as soon as possible.

Why did we change? Well truthfully, there was a growing confusion about our name. People kept calling us “SCPath” when really, the only reason we ever used that was because the other versions of our name were already taken on Twitter and such. But, we have decided to go with the full version of our name wherever possible to reduce the confusion.

We appreciate all the attention and publicity we have been getting recently, and we want to make sure it is as easy as possible for people to find us. So, from now on, we will be using our full name, “Palmetto Technology Hub”, or the abbreviation “PATH” wherever possible. Hope this helps to reduce the confusion!

Web Hosting For Non-Profits

Did you know that if you are a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit that you can get free web hosting from DreamHost? This discount applies to a single hosting plan per non-profit, hosted within only one account, for US-based 501(c)(3) organizations. Domain registrations (other than any included with the plan) are not eligible for any discounts. Organizations must be able to provide DreamHost with an IRS-issued 501(c)(3) determination letter to qualify. Just go to the DreamHost site and then look down under the “Hosting” menu down to “Non-Profit-Hosting”.

The free hosting offer only applies to the hosting, it does not apply to the domain name registration. If you register your domain name through DreamHost, it will be about $10. You do not have to have your domain name registered through the same provider you get your hosting from, but you won’t find the price much, if any, cheaper anywhere else.
